  • Incredible info there, Bret. The longer I live, the less I understand the insanity we have all created to live with. *Mel

  • For some, too much is never enough. They need more money, more food, more plastic surgery, more gaudy jewelry. Those who continuously look outward for happiness should think twice...it's inside that needs the work.

On a side note, if times were simpler I'd be tickled pink with two acres of land and $500.

  • Bret, you are EVER the 11th Sage.. Today I read a letter from a dying woman who stated "I wish I could save all children and all wild animals and all rainforests and oceans. I don't understand why all these rich people don't just give it away." meaning of course their money. Probably the greatest lessons I have learned so far is that' What you sow, so shall you reap"..Give and you get back 10 fold, when you help others, you help yourself more, AND FINALLY- this is an abundant world. There is plenty for everyone. There is no need for have's and have not's except for the lesson in being one or the other. ..f

  • I do not have either of those 2 deadly sins. Write about the other 5. I like the blog. Sharon

  • I like the challenge to *write about the other 5* (deadly sins!) there's a thought for you to ponder, BB! I do very much agree with frankie picasso.... if i had all the money that many celebs and "uppers" i have, i would have a blast just getting up in the morning, sitting at my antique secretarial desk and deciding upon whom I could HELP for that day...which cause, etc? wouldn't that be the greatest life? rather than be like so many stars with their $2895 handbags and $40 million homes... cut back on all that and HELP people! THAT would be a dream life for me!!! and play a little guitar and one small house on the beach w/ dogs!! xo *Mel

Hey, Mel -- The Seven Deadly Sins are Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride.

Perhaps I will cover all seven of them some day, but I'm going to do a humor piece next because I don't want to lose the crowd.

By the way, I only lust for women and my Sun Sign is Leo (Pride). Two out of seven isn't so bad.

  • Hi. I posted a lengthy comment to this piece a day or two ago, and now I cannot find it. (I read a response from you as well.) Why is that?

  • kcor:

The comment and my response were on the Southern Missourian website. This is the AreaWideNews website.

The comments are still there -- they were not removed

  • Thanks for info. I may be wrong but sites look identical except for a few nouns. And my registration works for both, identically. Freaky.
