  • Sounds like a great way to celebrate a New Year's Eve. We did the same years ago...at the grandparents farm on the hill above Big Creek near Flora. I recall the smell of oak and hickory smoke from the front room stove and the last sip of coffee that night as I stepped outside at the midnight hour...10 million stars in the sky and almost total quiet...except for a single coyote howl. I miss those days. Enjoy your evening.
