  • What?

You're not gonna thank whoever it was discovered how to mix habanero and aerosolized propellant?

But surely this "...I have learned that some things aren't a function of me; they are a function of them and that their snarkiness, ill will and general all-around lousy humor are a function of who they are rather than what I am..." doesn't mean you're abandoning this blog-thing does it?

Snarkiness, ill will and general all-around lousy humor shouldn't be much of a call to "abandon ship" by a blogger.

Might should you decide to run for President. Even then so long as you've the good sense at the Iowa State Fair to exercise discretion on menu choices - but even then I suppose it'd come to whatever demographic bloc one was seeking votes from. To wit:

But Teacher, you've not declared for President. And receiving hostile fire due to a single "fairly innocuous" [perhaps ill-informed] blog-post should not be overly disheartening.

Besides, reading probably the most comments on any single thing that's ever appeared on this website - should give more hope for the Fourth Pillar of Democracy than anything else I've personally seen yet.

Keep in mind - while one person might see "something else" - most people have the good sense to recognize somebody simply having lunch.

Says more about the other rather than the author.

  • I'm not abandoning this ship, H Ducker and thanks for the kind words. I was simply trying to show my gentker side. Now about the aerosol. I hadn't thought of that but I don't know if I will because I think they help poke holes in the ozone layer. Committee?

No need for a committee, those aerosols are the already banned CFCs - check your canister - to be kind to the environment (not necessarily, your target) the propellant should be listed as some form of HFA-134a.

(But if it's a pitbull - even a grizzley you want to deter) go with a MIL-SPEC [just don't tell the cops I mentioned it] it should be nitrogen-based - any oxygenated propellant can be mitigated "fairly" easily.
