On July 14, Wayne Koonce, 69, of Horseshoe Bend was traveling west on Highway 56 when he failed to negotiate a curve, losing control of his 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and running off the side off the road, striking a culvert and coming to rest in the west bound lane facing east.
