Sherman Lee Ables, 59, of Ash Flat died Feb. 19, 2006, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem. The funeral service will be held Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the Evening Shade Gymnasium, with burial following at Spotts Cemetery at Poughkeepsie. The complete obituary will be in next week's issue...

Henry Rodney Park Jr., 94, died Feb. 17, 2006, at his residence in Horseshoe Bend. He was born in East St. Louis, Ill., the son of Henry Rodney and Amelia Margaret Seufert Park Sr. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a salesman in the small engine industry before retiring to Horseshoe Bend. He was active member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church. Donnie Ham, 48, of Horseshoe Bend died Feb. 14, 2006, at his home. He was born June 6, 1957, at San Antonio, Texas, the son of the late Oran Oscar and Phyllis Bulger Ham. He served in the United States Coast Guard and was a brick mason. Survivors include two sons, Travis Ham of Grand Forks, N.D., and Dillon Ham of Cave City; one daughter, Bonnie Ham of San Benito, Texas; a step-mother, Vera Ham of Kelso, Wash.; three brothers, Norman Heyer of Ash Flat, Scott Ham of Melbourne and Joe Ham of Batesville; three stepbrothers Mike Lee, Robert Lee and Richard Lee, all of Kelso; one sister, Peggy Hennessey of Melbourne; one stepsister, Micchi Lee of Kelso; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.. ...

Claudie Clovis Houston died Feb. 14, 2006, in Mountain Home, Ark. He was born Nov. 2, 1917, in Baldwin, Miss., son of the late Lamar and Sindie Johnson Houston.
