For the second year in a row, Alec Johnson, of Mammoth Spring, will travel to Little Rock to participate in the State Spelling Bee. Evening Shade man sentenced in August 2011 race crime in Hardy (02/04/12)
Jason Barnwell, 37, of Evening Shade, Ark., was sentenced Jan. 27 in Little Rock, for his involvement in firebombing the residence of an interracial couple near Hardy last year. On Aug. 26, 2011, Barnwell pleaded guilty to conspiring to violate the civil rights of the residents and using fire in the commission of that offense. ...
