Vandals knock over gas pumps in Gepp (02/06/12)
Four gasoline pumps were knocked over and a rock was thrown through a window at the Gepp convenience store on Monday, Jan. 23. The Fulton County Sheriff's Department is investigating the vandalism at the store, which has been closed for some time. Sheriff Buck Foley does not believe the incident is connected to Christmas Day church and cemetery vandalism in the Viola area, which remains unsolved...
Thayer OWLS disband, give funds to Thayer Senior Center (02/06/12)
A benevolent group that formed in Thayer more than 20 years ago disbanded last week, turning over its funds to Thayer Fun and Friends Senior Center. The Older Wiser Livelier Seniors (OWLS) organized in March 1988 with 15 charter members, including current president Dorothy Manker, 97.
