Demolition continues at site for new county jail (04/09/12)
The old activities room is the first to go, as county workers begin tearing down a portion of the long vacant Fulton County Nursing Home on East Main Street. Demolition at the back of the building and to part of the west wing will create space for the $1.2 million jail to be built at the rear of the nursing home. Construction should begin this summer...
Sheriff's races abound across Missouri (04/09/12)
While Oregon County voters will decide among five candidates in August for the seat held by Sheriff George Underwood, other Missouri counties report an ever greater number of sheriff races.
