Bob Farris, 86, of Cave City died March 8, 2006, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Center in Batesville.
He was born Feb. 27, 1920, at Myron, Ark., the son of the late John and Estel Tadlock Farris. He was retired from ConAgra in Batesville where he worked in the hatchery, and was a farmer.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of First Baptist Church of Evening Shade.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Foreman of Batesville, Pam Johns of Evening Shade, Patsy Henderson of Drasco and Terri Lange of Mayflower; two brothers, Floyd Farris of Batesville and Ted Farris of Sidney; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Claude Farris, Eddie Farris, and Coy Farris and two sisters, Amie Grimes and Mamie Couch.
The funeral services were held March 10 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Robert Hutchison and Bro. Larry Weaver officiating.
Burial followed in the Evening Shade Cemetery located at the Evening Shade, with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Brett Farris, Barry Farris, Tony Farris, Danny Parks, Jim Parks and Bobby Moody.
Honorary pallbearers were Rick O'Daniel and William Sharp.
