Johnny Lauel "Lem" Baldridge, 73, of Hardy, Ark., died Oct. 11, 2007, at his residence. He was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Hardy, Ark., the son of van Baldridge and Elizabeth "Elsie" (Oaks) Baldridge.
He was united in marriage to Mary Pilkinton on Oct. 27, 1969, in Aurora, Ill. He worked many years in the timber industry before retiring. He loved to hunt and fish and loved his dogs. He was of the Baptist faith.He is survived by: his wife, Mary of the home; three daughters, Carlene Ellis of Hardy, Melissa Holloway of Hardy and Sherry Gann of Batesville; one brother, Everett Baldridge of Hardy; two sisters, Berniece Smith of Hardy and Bernita Traw of Hardy; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with another on the way; and many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were held Oct. 14 at the Tri-county Funeral Home in Highland with Floyd Rikard officiating. Burial was in the McCllough Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.Pallbearers were Patrick Ellis, Jonathan Boyer, Matthew Boyer, Gary Baldridge, Tommy Tray and Bo Pilkinton.Honorary pallbearers were Danny Traw, Gerald Traw, Chris Smith and Jerry Baldridge.
