Arthur W. Barron, 76, of Hardy died March 4, 2003, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Jan. 20, 1927, in Hanford, Calif., he was the son of Archie Raymond Barron and Lettie Leona Funk Barron. He married Ramona Huffmaster Oct. 15, 1947, in Hanford at First Christian Church. He worked many years in the pipeline construction business.
The Barrons moved to Hardy five years ago from Hanford.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona Huffmaster Barron of the home; two brothers -- Raymond Barron and Joe Barron both of Hanford; a sister, Kathryn Hayden of Hardwick, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Dorothy Goodwin.
A graveside service was March 7 at Sharp Cemetery in Evening Shade with Brett Chambers officiating.
Pallbearers were Jack V. Huffmaster Jr., David Huffmaster, Danny Lew "Lewy" Huffmaster, Mark Huffmaster, Curtis Keech Jr., and Randy Keech.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
