Alvin Doyle Snider, 57, of Cherokee Village died Feb. 5, 2003, at his residence.
Born Aug. 23, 1945, he was the son of Lonnie and Gracie Sheepman Snider. He married Violet Louise Cox Dec. 13, 1986, in O'Kean. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Brighten Community Church in Paragould.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters -- Paula Jackson of Hardy, Lynn Powell of Williford, Valerie Hall of Williford, and Lisa Collier of Paragould; two sons -- Matthew Herren of Searcy and Alan Herren of Manila; four sisters -- Syvilla Clayton of Powhatan, Dianna Pitcher of Paragould, Barbara Eubanks of Delaplaine, and Bonnie Clayton of Cherokee Village; three brothers -- Gallen Snider of Evening Shade, Glendon Snider of Louisville, Ky., and Fred Snider of Jonesboro; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers -- Leonard and Loyd Snider.
The funeral service was Feb. 7 at the Higginbotham Funeral Chapel in Hardy with David White officiating. Burial followed in Bradford Cemetery in Williford.
Pallbearers were Fred Snider, Ted Snider, Keith Snider, Jimmy Snider, Charlie Yates and Brian Priest.
Honorary pallbearers were Billy Adams and Billy McCoy.
