Artie Irene Rucker

Artie Irene Rucker of Mammoth Spring, Ark., 77, daughter of the late John Bradford and Minnie Catheryn (Shands) Burrus was born Jan. 20, 1930, in Ash Flat, Ark. She died Oct. 7, 2007, at the Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Ark.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.She is survived by: two sons, Jerry Rucker and wife, Mary of Mammoth Spring and Timothy Rucker and wife Ronda of Mammoth Spring; three daughters, Charlotte Ward and husband Roger of Marmaduke, Ark., Alice House of Traskwood, Ark., and Sheila House and husband, David of Traskwood; two brothers, Earl Burrus of Benton, Ark., and Tom Burrus of Benton; one sister, Betty Thomas of Center, Ark.; the father of her children, Albert Rucker of Ozark Acres, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by: an infant daughter; parents; three brothers; one sister; and one grandson.Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Ark., with Bro. John Deaton officiating. Interment was in the Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat, Ark., under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem.Pallbearers were Brent Robbins, Jason Warren, Matt House, Bryan Rucker, Dereke Wallace, Michael Gault, Kenny McCord and Clay Rucker.
