Alma Brogdon Girtman, 96, of Cave City died May 19, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born June 19, 1906, at Cave City, she was the daughter of Will and Lee James Brogdon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church east of Cave City.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Wanda Girtman; two daughters and sons-in-law -- Kyrene and Sammy Asberry, and Della Mae and Ray Fleetwood, all of Cave City; nine grandchildren; a step-grandson; 17 great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, McKinley Girtman; two sons, W.C. Girtman and Edward M. "Lightnin'" Girtman; two grandsons -- Larry Girtman and Brent Asberry; and a sister, Hazel Crow.
The funeral was May 21 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Robbie Horne and Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery east of Cave City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Aaron Hunter, Ken Brown, Greg Girtman, Ray Gene Landers, Danny Fleetwood and Ron Hudson.
