Anne C. Heath, 86, of Columbia, S.C., died Dec. 15, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin S. Heath, in 1995.
A mass was held Dec. 29, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial was in the Hardy Cemetery at Hardy.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Dumbar Funeral Home assisted the family at the Devine Street Chapel in Columbia, S.C.
Anne C. Heath was born May 24, 1919, in Columbia; she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Eilza Claffey Collins. She was a graduate of St. Joseph College, Emmittsburg, Md., and was a U.S. Army veteran having served on a hospital ship in the European Theater during World War II. Also she was a private pilot and an Eastern Airlines stewardess.
While a resident of Liberty, Mo., she was a member of St. James Catholic Church and attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Columbia.
Survivors include one son, Michael S. Heath of Steamboat, Colo.; one daughter, Deborah A. Drew of Conway; one brother, Robert Collins of Columbia; one sister, Betty McDougall of Columbia; and seven grandchildren, Jacob Joshua, Jeremiah and Joseph Drew and Marcus, Ian and Danielle Heath.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George W. Collins and David H. Collins; and one sister, Mary Louise Dillon.
Graveside services were held at the Hardy Cemetery in Hardy. Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Services, Hardy.
