Arilla Turner, 79, of Mountain Home, formerly of Ash Flat, died Dec. 24, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Miss.
Born March 20, 1925, in Wiseman, she was the daughter of Cecil Bell and Gladys Williams Bell.
She married Kenneth Turner in 1946. She was employed as a nurse in the Ash Flat Clinic for 25 years. She was a lifelong member of Ash Flat Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law -- Cecil Dwight and Joetta Newman of Pensacola, Fla., and Gary and Linda S. Turner of Myrtle, Miss.; four sisters -- Dorlene Reeves of Salem, Barbara Hand of Mountain Home, Joann Simpson of Independence, Mo., and Pat Mueller of Little Rock; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Paul Turner; a grandson, Christian Newman; two sisters -- Roena Munkirs and Reita Link; and her parents.
The funeral was Dec. 27 at Ash Flat Church of Christ with burial in Morriston Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
