Andrew Walter Hogan, 82, of Hardy died Aug. 29, 2006, at his home. Hogan was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Cherry Valley, Ark., the son of Irvin Hogan and Ester (Anderson) Hogan.

He worked many years for the Del Monte Corporation and retired as a head line mechanic. He moved to Hardy 20 years ago from Rochelle, Ill. He attended the Highland Assembly of God and also the Ash Flat Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Willa Mae Garner Hogan of Hardy; one son and daughter-in-law, Walter L. and Sherry Hogan of Gainesville, Va.; one brother, Paul Hogan of Wynne; two grandchildren, Brian Hogan of Bristow, W.Va.; and Shannon Hogan of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Carley, Camden and Carter Hogan.

The funeral services were held Sept. 2 at the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, with burial following in the Highland Cemetery. Officiating were Gene Garner, Leon Garner and Shannon Hogan.

Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.

Pallbearers were Jim Counts, Tommy Garner, Steve Garner, Billy Hattenhauer, Jerry Howard and Roger Brown.

The family requests that memorials be given to the Legacy Hospice of North Arkansas.
