Bethel Arnold Moody, 76, died Oct. 22, 2003, in Harrison.
Born Oct. 30, 1926, in Calico Rock, she was the daughter of Bud and Mollie Lucy. She was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Harrison. She married Thurla Arnold who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, John Moody Jr., of Salem; six stepgrandchildren -- Sue Lakey of Little Rock, Jerry, Michael, Johnny Moody and Connie Moody Bray, all of Salem, and Steve Moody of Pocahontas; her sister, Erlene King of Calico Rock; her brother, Billy Ray Lucy and his wife, Sue, of Calico Rock; several nieces and nephews -- Jim and his wife, Joannie, of Calico Rock, Nancy King Kemp of Calico Rock, Sandye Lucy Perryman and her husband, Steve, of Ozark, Mo., and Clint and Amanda Lucy of Waldron, Ark.; several great nieces and nephews -- Jamie King and wife, Michelle, of Cave City, Jerred King, Amy Kemp Stevenson and husband, Brett, all of Calico Rock, and Sara and Samuel Perryman, both of Ozark, Mo.; great-great-nephews -- Kobe and Cy King of Cave City; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service was Oct. 25 at First Baptist Church in Calico Rock with Jess Sumrall officiating. Interment followed in Moody Cemetery at Iuka, Ark. Arrangements were by Howard Funeral Home of Calico Rock.
Her nephews were pallbearers.
