Johnnie Louise Rose Bassham, 71, of Salem, died Dec. 4, 2001, in Mountain Home.
Born April 20, 1930, in Melbourne, she was the daughter of Joseph Hugh and Martha Emma Helm Rose. She married Archie Irvin Bassham Feb. 25, 1951, at Salem.
She spent her working years as a wife, mother, grandmother, and a sewing machine operator for International Shoe Company. She was a member of Moko Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Terry Bassham, and his wife, Vicky, of Moko; a brother, Joe Rose Jr. of Boise, Idaho; four sisters -- Ruth Rose Richardson of Sidney, Emma Sue Shallenberger of New Bloomville, Ill., Gussie Rose Williams of Aliep, Texas, and Joy Catherine McNew of Caruthers, Calif.; two grandsons -- Michael Bassham and his wife, Mendy, of Moko, and Alan Bassham and his wife, Carla, of Mountain Home; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents,; her husband; and a sister, Martha Inez Hall.
The funeral was Dec. 7 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Duane Warden officiating. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Harris, Richard Bassham, Mark Bassham, Mike Bassham, David Bassham and Guy Bassham.
Honorary pallbearers were Ray Gene Harris, Jewell Skaggs, Kenneth Turner, Ed Bassham and Thomas Bassham.
