Belva E. Hastings Campbell, 91, of Batesville died Dec. 8, 2002, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Feb. 12, 1911, at Tahlequah, Okla., she was the daughter of Almond Alvis and Ethel Almalee Lassiter Hastings. She was a homemaker and a member of Pool's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church at Sandtown.
Survivors include four sons -- John A. Campbell, Jerry E. Campbell, Bob J. Campbell, all of Batesville, and Gary L. Campbell of Mount Pleasant; five daughters -- Freda M. Thomas of Las Vegas, Cleva Leslie, Wanda Roach, Nina Carter and Shirley Ernestine Hoover, all of Batesville; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earnest C. Campbell; three brothers -- Laman Hastings, Johnny Hastings and Billy Hastings; two sisters -- Geraldine Pool and Lenelle Kinds; and three grandchildren.
The funeral was Dec. 9 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Jimmy Richardson officiating. Burial followed in Lee's Chapel Cemetery at Sandtown.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lee's Chapel Cemetery or to the Pool's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
