Bernice (Girtman) Marlin, 79, of Cave City, Ark., died Jan. 29, 2008, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born Nov. 27, 1928, at Cave City, Ark., the daughter of William Orville and Sarah Evelyn (Brewer) Girtman.
She was a homemaker and a member of the East Side Southern Baptist Church in Cave City.Survivors include: two daughters, Rita Marlin of Holland, Ohio, and J. Lonita Marlin of Cave City; one granddaughter, Dana Irwin and husband, Steve; three great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Donald Jack Marlin; one brother, O.C. Girtman; and two sisters, Wana Gene Price and Elwanda Dickey.Funeral services were held Jan. 31, at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Ark.Pallbearers were Jerry McCall, Joey Carpenter, Todd Price, Mike Price, James Kenneth Price and Noil Lee Mahan.
