Birdie Emmerich Guinnip, 90, of Evening Shade died March 6, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Jan. 27, 1915, at Williford, she was the daughter of Peter J. and Sarah Ellen Combs Emmerich. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Evening Shade.
Survivors include six sons -- Charles Guinnip of Texarkana, Jimmy Guinnip of Tuscumbia, Mo., and Fred Guinnip, Rex Guinnip, Ronald Guinnip and Roger Guinnip, all of Evening Shade; a daughter, Freda Lashley of Evening Shade; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woodrow Charles Guinnip; three brothers; four sisters; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral was March 11 at Calvary Baptist Church north of Evening Shade with John Deaton and Alvin Wiles officiating. Burial followed in Campground Cemetery north of Evening Shade with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Robert Lashley, Christopher Guinnip, Fred Guinnip Jr., Woodrow Guinnip, Matthew Guinnip and Rick Guinnip.
Honorary pallbearers were Eric Franks, Will McGuire and Brent Finley.
