Bryce Harrison, 79, of Brockwell, died July 14, 2002, at North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend.
Born June 3, 1923, in Snider, Okla., he was the son of Charlie LeRoy Harrison and Ardena Calaham Harrison. He married Janeen Redsiek July 8, 1972, in Riverside, Calif. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps., having served during World War II. He worked many years as a dairy farmer and as a truck driver. He was active in all things to do with agriculture. He also drove a bus for handicaped adults and loved helping them with their gardens. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cherokee Village.
Survivors include his wife, Janeen of Brockwell; two sons -- Jared Harrison of Brockwell and Lance Harrison of Lawton, Okla.; three daughters -- Sherry Dorsey of Beaumont, Texas, Christy Hiliker of Gainesville, Va., and Shannon Harrison of Melbourne; two brothers -- LeRoy Harrison of Anadarko, Okla., and Agnes Truex of Romoland, Calif., and Martha Dean Jackson of Costa Mesa, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and a sister.
The funeral was July 20 at 11 a.m. at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel Funeral Services in Highland, with President Christopher Bowman of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial followed in Campground Cemetery between Ash Flat and Evening Shade.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
