Bill Phillips, 60, of Batesville, Ark., died Sept. 13, 2005 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born April 10, 1945, in Batesville, the son of Leslie Phillips and Oshea Parsley Phillips. He was a truck driver and member of Cave City First Baptist Church. He worked for 33 years for White River Bituminous and Atlas Asphalt and was a member of the board for Batesville Housing Authority.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hazelrigg Phillips of the home; one son, Christopher Blake Phillips of Batesville; three aunts; three uncles; and several nieces; nephews; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral was Sept. 15 at Roller Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. LaVon Post officiating. Burial was in Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Tom Norris, John Ellis, Bill Lewis, Darrell Parsley, Phillips Brewer and Lynn Roe King.
Honorary pallbearers were Atlas Asphalt Employees, Batesville Housing Authority Board and employees, Howard House, Eddie House, Mark Lambeth and Earlene Gilchrist.
