Beverly Rose Russell, 69, of Horseshoe Bend died Dec. 27, 2002, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
Born April 7, 1933, in Springfield, Ill., she was the daughter of James Myron Irwin and Zola Arletta Clark Irwin. She married George Russell July 3, 1951, in Springfield. She retired from Illinois State Police as a supervisor in the microfilm department. She was a member of Horseshoe Blenders and Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Springfield Chapter of the Sweet Adelines.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dennis George Russell of Springfield; a daughter, Tracey Lynnette Blackburn of Springfield; a sister, Janet Fisher of Cherokee Village; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Rhonda Kay Russell.
The funeral was Dec. 31 at Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church with the Rev. Everett Isom and the Rev. Allen Bonsall officiating. Burial was Jan. 2 in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield with the Rev. Johnny Williams officiating.
The family requests memorials be made to Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
Arrangements were under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
