Charles Albert Russell, 90, of Cherokee Village died Jan. 11, 2003, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born May 22, 1912, in Ironton, Ohio, he was the son of Buckley Benton and LuSima Townsend Russell.
He retired from TRW Air Craft as a tool grinder and also retired from Imperial '400' Motels Inc. as manager. He was active in the Spring River Sportsman's Club, Cherokee Village Golf Club, POA Service Committee, Neighborhood Watch, Spring River Gem and Mineral Club, Santa Fe Club, Kiwanis Club and Cherokee Village Lions Club. He was also a member of Cherokee Village First Baptist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell moved to Cherokee Village 35 years ago from Eastlake, Ohio, and formerly lived in Ironton and Cleveland, Ohio, as well as Willcox, Ariz.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Stover Russell whom he married Nov. 18, 1950, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Donald R. Russell, and three brothers.
The funeral was Jan. 14 at Cherokee Village First Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry White and the Rev. Robin Allen officiating. Burial was Jan. 16 in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton.
