Chris Wayne Clemens, 70, of Cherokee Village died Jan. 28, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born Dec. 13, 1932, in Bangor, Iowa, he was a maintenance welder for John Deere Company. He was an active member of Cherokee Village Lions Club. He and his wife, Deonne, moved to Cherokee Village in 1992 from Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife whom he married Feb. 14, 1960; a son, Craig Wayne (Judy) Clemens of Ferris, Texas; two daughters -- Corrine Kay (Steven) Brown of Paducah, Ky., and Cynthia Marie Clemens of Boulder, Colo.; two brothers -- Wallace Clemens of Boulder and Gene Clemens of Indiana; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Edna Matney Clemens, a brother and two sisters.
A memorial service was Jan. 31 at Cherokee Village Lutheran Church.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
