Calvin W. Coles, 55, died March 27, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born June 16, 1947, in Batesville, he was the son of Conway C. and Velvia Wain Welch Coles. He was a maintenance mechanic for the General Services Administration, a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Sandtown. He was retired from the Cave City Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
Survivors include his wife, Margene Stuart Coles of the home; a son, Curt Coles of Cave City; a daughter, Michelle Holmes of Cave City; and two grandchildren -- Trenton Coles and Kelsie Coles, both of Cave City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral was March 29 at Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church with Dardanelle Townsley and Jerry Turner officiating.
Burial was in the Lee's Chapel Cemetery at Sandtown.
Pallbearers were Scott Wooldridge, Billy Corter, Robert Dean Coles, Todd Coles, Randy Coles and Ricky Coles.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
