Charles L. Giese Sr., 75, of Cherokee Village, formerly of Waukesha, Wis., died Dec. 24, 2004, in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
Born March 18, 1929, in Waukesha, he was the son of Ernst and Catherine Braun Giese. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1947.
He was a route man for Golden Guernsey Dairy in Waukesha Pumps. In 1991 he moved to Cherokee Village.
He is survived by his wife, Marlyn; three sons -- Charles (Carla) Giese Jr. of Palatine, Ill., Peter Giese and special friend Margie Karlinsky of Delavan, Wis., and Jeff (Diane) Giese of Sussex, Wis.; three grandchildren -- Michael Giese, Max and Leah Schaumberg; two sisters -- Viola Vergenz of Jefferson, and Dorothy Paulic of Waukesha; a brother, Ernest (Orva June) Giese of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Audrey (Dan) Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters -- Ruby Snider, Alice LaPaz and Janet Holston.
A private memorial service was held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Another memorial service will be held at Cherokee Village Lutheran Church Jan. 22. Memorials may be made to Cherokee Village Lutheran Church.
