Coy "Red" Coles, 75, of Cave City, Ark., died Jan. 29, 2008, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born May 6, 1932, in Sandtown, the son of the late William Thomas Coles and Annie (Gaines) Coles.

He married Lola Carter March 21, 1953. He was a truck driver for North Arkansas Farm Supply for 23 years.He is survived by: his wife, Lola (Carter) Coles of Cave City; sons, Coy Coles Jr., of Olathe, Kan., Jackie Coles of Lee's Summit, Mo., Randall Coles of Strawberry, Ricky Coles of Newport and Roger Coles of Batesville; brothers, Doyle Coles and Elisha Coles of Batesville and Lavaughn Coles of Desha; sisters, Mary Ann Matthews of Cave City and Winnie Grace Johnson of Batesville; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by: his parents; and brothers, Preston, Conway, Albro, Alton, Albert, Alvin and Troy Coles.Funeral services were held Feb. 1 at Pool's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church officiated by J.W. Roach and Jim Richardson. Burial followed in Lee's Chapel Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were Terrence Carter, Tim Carter, Brian Carter, Kevin Coles, Todd Coles and Brian Coles.Honorary pallbearers were former employees of North Arkansas Farm Supply.Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 10411 W.
