Cytha H. Russell, 86, of Poughkeepsie died July 18, 2004, at Skilcare Nursing Center in Jonesboro.
Born March 15, 1918, at Portia, she was the daughter of Elmer and Ethel Smith Atkinson. She was a homemaker and a member of Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Arnell Russell of Poughkeep-sie; a brother, Monty Atkinson of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Zealin Wesley Russell; six brothers -- Coy Atkinson, Claude Atkinson, Dutch Atkinson, Cecil Atkinson, Tom Atkinson and Billy Jo Atkinson; and a sister, Syble Cooksey.
The funeral was July 21 at Poughkeepsie Church of Christ with Troy Henley and Royce Pendergrass officiating. Burial followed in Evening Shade (Sharp) Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Dan Melbourne, Gene Moore, Charlie Smith, Wayne Fore, Roy Felts and Judge Harold Crawford.
Honorary pallbearers were the Sharp County Road employees.
