Carnell Wayne Cheek, 62, of Salem died Aug. 22, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born June 9, 1942, in Yellville, he was the son of Flossie Keeter Cheek and Arnold Cheek.
He married Louetta Sanders Oct. 28, 1967, in Salem. He was a dairy farmer for many years and a member of Salem First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children -- John Henry Wayne Cheek and wife, Tabitha Reena, of Batesville, Quanna June Cheek of Van Buren, and Kittina Carnell Cheek of Springfield, Mo.; his mother, Flossie Cheek of Ash Flat; sisters -- Betty Roork and husband, Sam, of Salem, and Sandy Harmon and husband, James, of Jonesboro; and two grandchildren -- John Henry Wayne Cheek Jr., and Sean-Patrick Eugene DuPuis.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia June Cheek; a brother, Jackie Lynn Cheek; his father and his grandparents.
The funeral was Aug. 25 at Cox Blevins Chapel with burial in Salem Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Cox Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
