Donnie Adair Easley, aka "DD" and "Mama D," of Cherokee Village died Sept. 22, 2006. She was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Havana, Ark., the daughter of Julius and Hazel Baker Adair.
She retired in 1992 from Southwestern Bell Telephone company. During her 25 year of service, she held positions in McGehee, Little Rock, Forrest City and Jonesboro.
She is survived by her husband and companion of 49 years, Truman Easley of Cherokee Village; a son, Ronnie Easley of Cherokee Village; a son, Mark Easley and wife Kathy of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Lyndon Adair of Magazine, Ark.; four granddaughters, Tonya Sacomani, her husband Michael, their three children, Braden, Mason and Cohen, all of Bryant, Ark., Amber Thiel and her husband Justin of Springfield, Mo., Christian Faith Easley and her daughter KayLynn of Tulsa, Okla., Nichole Easley of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandson, Ronnie "Radar" Easley of Bryant, Ark.; three nephews, Steve Adair and his wife Linda of Plumerville, Ark., Greg Coppo and his wife Nona and their son Conner. (Greg is a U.S. Army officer currently serving in Iraq. His wife and son currently reside in Phoenix, Ariz.), and Michael Hicks of Chicago.
The funeral services were held Sept. 25 at the Abundant Life Church in Hardy with Joey Barnes officiating.
Burial followed at the Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Waveland, Ark.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
