David A. Noyes Sr., 67, of Cherokee Village died March 10, 2004, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.
Born Dec. 20, 1936, in Chicago, he was the son of Thelma Monroe and James Noyes.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years. During his service, he served on the Carrier USS Ranger in the Vietnam War. He was married Dec. 27, 1958, in St. Louis to Judith Noyes.
Survivors include two sons -- David A. Noyes Jr. and Mary Noyes of Hot Springs, and Steven and Cindy Noyes of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters -- Tina and Jim Chamblis, and Carolyn and Ritch Maybry, all of Jacksonville; a grandson, Kenny Wells of Jacksonville; four brothers -- Jack Ward of Michigan, Daniel Noyes of Springfield, Mo., Phillip Monroe of Springfield, and Mike Ward of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Noyes.
The funeral service is March 18 at Cherokee Village Lutheran Church in Cherokee Village with the Rev. Joan Ewaldsen officiating.
Burial will follow in Cherokee Village Lutheran Columbarium.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heath Funeral Home, Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy.
