Darrell Timothy Armour, 47, of Hardy died in an automobile accident July 31, 2003, in Willow Springs, Mo.
Born March 13, 1956, in Memphis, Tenn., he was a former senior research technician of Schering Plough in Memphis. In 2003 he received his bachelor's degree in English from Lyon College in Batesville. In 2000 he received an associate's degree in liberal arts from Ozarka College in Melbourne. In 1994 he received an associate's degree in data processing from State Technical Institute and studied telecommunications at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. He was a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an honor society for English majors.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Armour of Hardy; two sons -- Brent Armour of Memphis, and Tanner Armour of Hardy; a daughter, Jourdan Armour of Hardy; his father and stepmother -- Williams Temple and Patsy Armour of Southaven, Miss.; and two brothers -- Chris Armour and Kevin Armour, both of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Redmon, and a son, Billy Armour.
A memorial service was Aug. 2 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland with the Rev. James Powell of Kennett, Mo., officiating.
Memorials may be made to Sharp County Library in Hardy.
