Daphna Delice Brightwell, 89, of Batesville died Dec. 1, 2003, at Batesville.
Born Sept. 30, 1914, at Barnhill, Ill., she was the daughter of W.J. and Leora Manison McDuffee. She was a Stanley home products dealer for many years and a member of West Baptist Church at Batesville.
Survivors include a son, Billy Brightwell of Lonoke, Ark.; a daughter, Leota Kimbrough of Columbia, Tenn.; two brothers -- Luke McDuffee of Cave City, and W.J. McDuffee of El Paso, Texas; three sisters -- Charlene Mann of Locust Grove, Willene Bray of Mountain Pleasant, and Lorene Wilson of Batesville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Dec. 4 at West Baptist Church in Batesville with Bob Dailey officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery at Batesville with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dewey H. Brightwell; a sister, Ann Barton; and two grandchildren -- Kathy Kimbrough and Tim Brightwell.
Pallbearers were Gerald Kimbrough, Anthony Kimb-rough, Danny Brightwell, Jennifer Brightwell, Matthew Kimbrough, Kyle Kimbrough and Joey Bray.
Honorary pallbearers were Reed Bray, Bruce Mathews, Wyatt Washburn, Kelly Washburn, Wayne Doer, Melvin Casey, Claybourne Ford, Gerald Gaither and Dr. Ronald Bates.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Baptist Church Building Fund.
