David C. Mohr, 65, of Cherokee Village died Nov. 2, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Feb. 7, 1939, in Clinton, Iowa, he was the son of Albert and Margaret Sleeper Mohr. He married Barbara Franco Sept. 19, 1964, in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
He worked as an employment supervisor for caterpillar in Mount Joy, Iowa, for 23 years before retiring. He moved with his wife, Barbara, to Cherokee Village in 1997, from DeWitt, Iowa. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the senior bowling league, was an avid fisherman and lover of football. He was a member of Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy where he had served as a member of the session.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; two sons -- Donald Mohr of Molene, Ill., and David Mohr of Parkview, Iowa; a brother, Eric Mohr of Youngtown, Ariz.; and three grandchildren -- Hope Katherine Mohr, and Skylar and Hunter Brooks.
A memorial service was Nov. 6 at Spring River Presbyterian Church with the Rev. San Jagow officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Spring River Presbyterian Church.
