Dean E. Crum, 72, formerly of Cherokee Village died Oct. 31, 2004, at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Born in Uniondale, Ind., he was employed by General Electric Company for 37 years, retiring in 1988. He was also a GE Elfin. He was a past board member of the Highland Elks Club of Cherokee Village, and remained an avid community leader. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Linda K. (Joe) Mason of Fort Wayne; a son, Fred D. (Elaine) of Fort Wayne; grandchildren -- Jay, Jessica, Jeffrey, Thomas, and Benjamin; a brother, John Crum of Warsaw, Ind.; a sister, Alice Alexander of Bluffton, Ind.
A memorial service was Nov. 5 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home in Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Elks Christmas fund.
