Donald E. Eheart, 51, of Onarga, Ill., died Aug. 14, 2003, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Born July 31, 1952, in Tacoma, Wash., he was the son of Glenn E. Eheart and Betty Mae Cass Eheart. He spent his childhood in Onarga and attended Onarga and Gilman schools. He was employed as a truck driver for Smith Transport of Roaring Springs, Pa. He married Diane L. Seegmiller Dec. 9, 1988, in Henderson, Ky.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Gilman, Ill., Hubbard Trail Chapter of ABATE, Stone Cold Motorcycle Club and Iroquois Chiefs Motorcycle Club. A practical joker, Donald enjoyed motorcycles, camping, fishing, hunting and mechanics.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; four sons -- Martin Weaver of Gilman, Ill., Jeremy Runyan of Champaign, Ill., Jack Miller of Las Vegas, and Donald J. Eheart of Mount Vernon, Ill.; five daughters -- Karen Weaver of Tulsa, Okla., Jackie Allen of Dale, Texas, Tammy Christer of Kankakee, Ill., Faith Pelletier of Madison, Wis., and Betty Eheart of Champaign, Ill.; four brothers -- Harry Eheart of Selma, N.C., Warren Eheart of Tuscola, Ill., Bryan Eheart of Chanute, Kan., Steve Bailey of Williford; and a sister, Becky Mask of Highland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Mildred "Mickey" Harding, a brother, Andy; a sister, Wanda; and a grandson, Dustin Weaver.
The funeral was Aug. 18 at Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman with the Rev. John Story officiating. Burial was in Onarga Cemetery.
