Donald Govar Powell, 66, of Williford died Oct. 21, 2004, at his home.
Born in Hardy, he was the son of Robert and Birtha Powell. He was a retired operation engineer for pipeline construction, and a member of the Ravenden Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law -- Ellen and W.L. "Hoot" Woolard of Mammoth Spring, and Diane and Shawn Polston of Little Rock; three sisters -- Rheba Powell Treat of Boston, Rheita Powella Pratt of Williford, and Narene Powell Parker of Ash Flat; a granddaughter, Beth Herron; three grandsons -- Austin Smith, Kyle Welch and Zachary Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Stephen Smith.
The funeral was Oct. 23 at Heath Oak Hill Chapel with Floyd Rikard officiating. Burial was in Bradford Cemetery in Bradford.
