Danny Boyce Haley, 58, died Dec. 8, 2002, in Batesville.
Born Dec. 2, 1944, in Batesville, he was the son of R.C. Haley and Eva Miller Haley. He married Ann Malone June 17, 1962, in Antioch.
During most of his working years he was a self-employed logger. He also served three and one-half years as the Izard County Sheriff, and was currently employed as a 16th Judicial District juvenile probation officer. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and Melbourne Masonic Lodge 241.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Karin and Keith Brown of Zion; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Karen Haley of Calico Rock; his father, Boyce Haley of Zion; a sister, Cathy Sharp of Evening Shade; and two grandchildren -- Hannah Brown and Johnathon Brown.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
The funeral service was Dec. 11 at Antioch Baptist Church with Joe Wehunt and Gale Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gray Dellinger, Matt Dellinger, Joe Martz, Fred Lamb, Rayburn Finley, Eddie Cooper, Earnie Blackley and Terry Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were Rex Tate, Reuben Lindsey, Charles Woods, Bob Davidson, L.W. Clark, Wes Brown and Dale Finley.
Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
