Dorothy F. Kraut, 94, of Cherokee Village died Oct. 15, 2003.
Born March 26, 1909, in Galena, Ill., she was the daughter of Earle Alson and Minnie DuMond Fitch. She married Adam Leon Kraut Dec. 27, 1936, in Galena.
A former teacher in Galena and Woodridge, Ill., she moved to Cherokee Village from Downers Grove, Ill., in December 1975. She was active in the Presbyterian church all her life. She was also a member of Cherokee Village Women's Club, Heritage Extension Club, Swim for Health Club, Women's Auxiliary at Eastern Ozark Hospital, DAR, at Republican Women's Club.
She was a loving mother of Major Leon A. Kraut, Dr. Charles W. Kraut and Mary Linne Stafford, and grandmother of six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, Malia Kamanakai Slevin.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, a son and two sisters.
A memorial service was held Oct. 21 at Spring River Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
