Dorothy (Musick) Priestley, 88, of Hardy died June 6, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born March 20, 1919, at Jackson, Ohio, the son of the late Asa and Bertha Vetitoe) Sickles.
She was a retired factory worker, the biggest fan of the Musick Brothers Band and was best known as Mama Musick. She was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church at Ash Flat.Survivors include: five sons, George A. Musick of Brockwell, William A. Musick of Poughkeepsie, Edward A. Musick of Hardy, Darryl T. Musick of Cave City and Jerry L. Musick of Florida; one daughter, Patricia A. Iaukea of Hardy; two brothers, Orie Sickles and Sam Sickles both of Jackson, Ohio; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, George F. Musick and Ray Priestley; one brother, Oran Sickles; one sister, Lesta Berkowski; and one granddaughter, Annette Musick.Funeral services were held June 8 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Phil Huggins officiating. Burial followed in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were Roger Phillips, Christopher Musick, Nicholas Musick, Joey Pearison, Eddie Goodman and Matthew Phillips.Honorary pallbearers were Nick Goodman and Michael Musick.
