Danny Virgil Henry died May 31, 2006, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains at the age of 36 years.
He was born Nov. 25, 1969, in Hieldeburg, Germany, the son of Phyllis Rogers Henry and the late Virgil Gary Henry.
He was united in marriage April 7, 1990, in Hardy, Ark., to Laura Lee.
He was employed by the United States Department of Fish and Wildlife in Mammoth Spring starting at the early age of 16. He became a bio-technician, working a total of 20 years.
He was active in the Mammoth Spring Little League baseball serving as president and coach.
Survivors include his wife, Laura of the home in Mammoth Spring; three children, Derrick Scott Henry, Shelby Ann Henry and Stephanie Nichole Henry, all of the home in Mammoth Spring; his mother, Phyllis Henry of Mammoth Spring; one brother, Gary David Henry of Cherokee Village; two sisters, Sandra Kay Ruby of Hardy, and Dorothy Karen Brotemarkle of Paragould, Ark.; paternal grandmother, Ruby Murphy of Hardy; mother-in-law, Bonnie Reed of Hardy; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Gary Henry; maternal grandparents, Wilburn and Dorothy Rogers; and paternal grandfather, Virgil Grady Henry.
Funeral services were held June 4 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, with burial in the Ed Collins Cemetery in Wirth with Rev. Floyd Rikard officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Creston Maynard, Toby Trivitt, Dewayne French, Mark Harmon, Steve Powell and Ashton Hester.
