Delbert Wayne Harmon, 80, of the Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Cherokee Village, died July 30, 2006, at the nursing home.
He was born March 22, 1926, in Liberty Hill, Ark., the son of the late Russell Harmon and Nora Cunningham.
He was a self-employed auto engine mechanic. He was also a veteran and served in the Army during World War II. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Della Harmon of Cherokee Village; one sister, Yula Mae Miller of Ash Flat; and many other friends and relatives.
In addition to his parents, one son, Dale Wayne Harmon, and one daughter, Denise Sheryl Harmon, preceded him in death.
The funeral services were held Aug. 4 at the Liberty Hill Church in Hardy. Burial followed at the Liberty Hill Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy.
