Elmo Anderson, 75, of Cave City died June 27, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.
Born April 6, 1929, at Smithville, he was the son of Corbett and Zela Brown Anderson.
He was a mechanic and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Cave City where he served on the youth committee and was an usher for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Cooper Anderson; a son, David Anderson of Batesville; five grandchildren -- Jonas Anderson and Joanna Anderson, both of Cave City, Shawn Conder of Mt. Olive, N.C., and Chad Conder and Sarah Beth Gates, both of Batesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters -- Aleen Anderson and an infant, Alla Mae Anderson.
The funeral was July 7 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Robbie Horn and Nathan Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Chad Conder, Paul Wayne Johnson, James Landers, Buster Brown, Bobby Gay and Ronald Gene Ring.
