Edna C. Kolnik, 89, of Horseshoe Bend died Feb. 6, 2006, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem. She was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Chicago Heights, Ill., the daughter of Frank and Constance Schaeffer.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Guild of St. Mary's, member of Moose Lodge 739, and a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy John Kolnik and his wife, Deborah, of Acworth, Ga., and John Joseph Kolnik and his wife, Janice, of Buffalo, Wyo.; two sisters, Frances Kyle of Clinton, Ind.; and Sister Mary Octavia of Florissant, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter Paul Kolnik; two sisters; three brothers; and one daughter, Lorraine.
A memorial Mass celebrating her life with Father Kevin Atunzu was held at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend Feb. 10.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel in Horseshoe Bend.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
