Elwanda Crow, 85, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., formerly of Sidney, Ark., died Aug. 21, 2007, at the Shiloh Care Center in Prescott Valley. She was born Aug. 11, 1922, the daughter of Oscar and Rosie (Cartwright) Hassell.
She was a retired school teacher, having retired from the Bentonville School Systems after more than 30 years. She was a Southern Baptist.She was a graduate of Sidney Schools then continued her education at the University of Southern California where she graduated and became a teacher.She is survived by: a son, Archie Crow of Prescott Valley; a daughter, Kaye Trivitt of Belton, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jenifer Trivitt and Erin Trivitt of Belton, Eric Crow of Flagstaff, Ariz., Kelsey Crow and Laura Crow both of Prescott Valley; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Clyde Crow; four brothers, Loy Hassell, Cleo Hassell, Wendell Hassell and Boyd Hassell.Services were held Aug. 25 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Sidney with Bro. John High officiating. Burial followed at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Sidney.
