Eleanor "Granny" Davis died June 22, 2006, at Ash Flat Nursing Center in Ash Flat at the age of 96.
She was born June 30, 1909, in Burnham, Mo., the daughter of the late Coon Wait Williamson and Mary Jane (Wood) Williamson.
She was united in marriage Dec. 22, 1923, in Hardy to Carmel Gilbert Davis who preceded her in death March 29, 1968.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, John Kenneth Davis and wife Margaret of Hardy; four grandchildren, Peggy Rogers and husband Dale of Thayer, Liz Russell and husband Greg of El Paso, Texas, Alice Young and husband Tim of Hardy, and John Davis and wife Phyllis of Star City, Ark.; seven great-grandchildren, Trent, Marquel, Cydney, Kathleen, Dana, Kevin and Jon; three step-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Harvey and Cleveland Williamson; one sister, Lorene Thompson; and one granddaughter, Martha Sue Davis.
The funeral services were held June 25 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, with burial in the Taylor Cemetery in Mammoth Spring with Ricky Ragsdale officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Pallbearer were Tim Young, Dale Rogers, Trent Rogers, John Davis, Willis Pendarvis and Joey Pendarvis.
Honorary pallbearers were David Robinson, Vic Wait, Doyle Fink, Darrell Bentley, Kevin Young and Jon Davis.
