Elizabeth Evelyn Honeycutt Rutledge Dean, 74, died Nov. 26, 2003, in Monette. Born Nov. 4, 1929, in Wirth, she was the daughter of Hiram Honeycutt and Gertie Jones Honeycutt.
She was united in marriage Nov. 5, 1947, in Pocahontas to Lawrence Rutledge.
She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include nine children -- Teletha Wieland of Williford, James Lesley Rutledge of Newark, Calif., Gilbert Rutledge of Imboden, Jerry Rutledge of Highland, Mary Owens of Tulsa, Okla., Chris Helt of Flippin, Deborah Smithee of Monette, Margaret Grable of Hoxie, and Alma Schofield of Wichita, Kan.; three brothers -- Hiram Honeycutt of Wirth, Les Honeycutt of Ash Flat, and Noel Honeycutt of Thayer, Mo.; 29 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and Lawrence Rutledge of Napa, Calif., father of her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dennis Rutledge; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Wesley Honeycutt; six sisters, Zelda, Ava, Anola, Ora Lee, Robbie Jean and Doris.
The funeral was Nov. 30 a Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with the Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. Burial was in Jeff Cemetery at Thayer with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Donald Helt, Terry Garrison, Chad King, Jimmy Rutledge, Mark Rutledge and Larry Jones.
